Hi my dear athletic and nutrition conscious – or striving to be such – readers 🙂
Now is my second week here in Bali, and we are still learning a lot during my training at “The Seeds of Life.”
It is so much fun, even if a lot is not completely new to me thanks to my former trainings and the workshops, which I teach. However, this is providing me with the assurance and the realization that the things I do make a lot of sense, and now I even have a better background than before. Well, you always live and learn.
On the contrary, we are an international group, and I have gotten to know amazing people and formed valuable relationships.
Moreover, I feel physically on top of my game – I am so relaxed, even though I go running for one hour at 5am in the morning and then do yoga for 1.5 hours.
The combination makes the difference and provides me with lots of energy:
physical and mental movement and relaxation, along with wonderful nutritious meals. This is how fast you can bring your body up to amazing speed in only 2 weeks, just by listening to it a little more and fueling it with the right nutrients.
Most of us think this is very hard to accomplish in daily life, and also they think, where will I get my proteins from and raw food nutrition is just too complicated anyway.
But it is exactly the opposite…

But it is exactly the opposite…
No meal preparation takes longer than 10 minutes and don’t disregard the value of herbal proteins. These will supply you with even more energy as a piece of meat or fish. Did you know that it takes 8 hours to digest a piece of meat or fish but only 1-2 hours for plant-based raw materials? Now you know where you always lose your entire energy when you are tired and exhausted.
Our digestive process requires the most energy. Just because we cannot look into ourselves, to see what exactly is happening on our insides, we suppose it is not relevant to us. I do think if you could really look into yourselves for once to see what is taking place in there, you would pretty quickly join a more conscious nutrition approach.

Well, what else have I learned here since last week:
We have prepared delicious, vegan raw food cheese in various flavors with herbs and superfoods.
We have even made a spirulina cheese tasting like blue cheese – really outstanding! And a good raw food bread should not be missed with good cheese. And last but not least, decorate everything lovingly and it will taste even better 🙂
And all this is based on nuts and water – unbelievable how creative one can get with so few ingredients.
As I am not much a fan of sweets, the chocolate cake recipes etc. were less exciting for me, even though they were delicious and prepared exactly for mother’s day, hence the special decoration.
I looked more forward to the carrot cake, which was more my cup of tea as far as flavors are concerned and really tasted delectable. It is also interesting, that even though we all have the same recipes, everything always tastes a little different with everyone. There you have it, food preparations can be so individual.
At the end, one easy Power Breakfast recipe
8 TBSP Goji berries (soak in water overnight)
4 TBSP peeled hemp seeds
2 TBSP Chia seeds
4 TBSP dried coconut, coconut rasps
2 TSP Maca powder
1 TSP Mesquite powder
If you like it sweet, you can season with some Stevia.
Mix everything together or if you like it as smoothie, pour into the blender, and then enjoy this delicious, magical brew J
Maca is among others very good for athletes, as it works against performance decrease, lack of energy, depression, and anemia. Maca has a positive effect on muscle buildup and is therefore a favorite among athletes – it contains rich amino acids and proteins. It is also known as natural aphrodisiac! Maca is good for body and soul. The ingredients of the bulb assist with menstrual pains, hormonal imbalances, and sleeping disorders – a natural band aid for the soul!
