Bootcamp Vacation to Barcelona

While April is doing whatever it wants after bringing us only a short glimpse of spring followed by covering the landscape in snow, we’ve decided to rather spend these dull days with a sporty group in Barcelona.

I arrived a few days early to prepare things and explore the city for our trip. I trudged through Barcelona wearing 3 jackets because it was raining every minute of the 2 days in which I spent exploring and thought to myself: “Please god let the sun shine again!” And my prayers were answered – Right on time for our first workout, the sun illuminated the beautiful Spanish city.

On Friday we started with a Tabata Workout on midday right at the harbour followed by some Yoga with Nicole.

While the others were still stretching their stressed muscles, during yoga I arranged and prepared our Welcome Apero on one of the most beautiful terraces the coastal city has to offer. It’s part of the Hotel Rambas and offers a magnificent view on the Gaudi Museum. To finish the day we discovered the fancy bars and restaurants of Barceloneta and enjoyed Paella at the La Gavina.

As the next day was going to be blessed by a lot of sports l, we all sensibly went to bed early. First thing on Saturday morning (7am to be precise) we had a run along the beach followed by some more yoga and another two bootcamp workouts lead by me at midday and later that evening. Everyone was a little tired after these trainings but also incredibly happy after spending such an intense day which ended at one of my favourite Tapas bars – the Bodega Vasconja in the gotic district.

On Sunday everyones muscles were sore but despite that most of us were ready for another HIIT workout before departing. The last few hours were spent having breakfast and a spot of power shopping.

Once again a SwissCityBootCamp vacation that was beautiful and sport packed with a variety of different workouts, lifestyle and pleasure activities. I’m very much looking forward to our Bootcamp week in Ibiza in September.
